She would have fit right in with Hazel Stone and Wyoming Knott. Here's Jay Manifold:
Why Feminists Hate Sarah Palin.Commenter Otpu makes a nice distinction that reflects on the many recent attacks against Palin:
I submit that Sarah Palin is the most Heinleinian candidate for Vice-President of the United States in this country’s history…
There is a real difference between pitching manure and slinging Bullsh*t. When you’re pitching manure you have to be able to place the manure pretty much on target or you’re wasting it. When you’re just slinging BS you don’t really have a target, you’re just trying to get everything around you covered as deeply as possible. Thanks, as so often, to the Instapundit.

Hmm. Palin is not a Heinlein character. Or if she were she'd be a minor character, chosen to showcase her flaws, and not a heroine
His women were libertarian true, but they were also smart, really smart, many are genius-level. Palin is many things but hyper-intelligent is not one of them. No Heinlein woman would think that being able to see another country from one's back-yard provides a solid grounding for making foreign policy decisions, and I'm pretty sure that they'd all be aware that Africa is a continent, not a country.
Odd to find a comment on such an old post. First, let's clear this up: This "Hazel Stone" is not the "Hazel Stone" who posts at Simon Jester, and elsewhere on the web.
Next, let's deal with "smart." That was Tina Fey, in a satirical SNL sketch, who said that she could see Russia from her house. The thing about Africa being a country or a continent was a hoax.
Keepin' the smears alive, as the book hits #1 on Amazon. Even though it's not published yet. Hazel, you might want to read some of my other posts on Palin. If you do, you'll find a link to Charlie Martin's list of Palin smears. But I won't make you search for it; here it is. Lies, lies, and more lies. The elitists of the Left are terrified of this woman, and misrepresent her every chance they get.
